In order to positivelycope with the impact of Novel coronavirus pneumoniaon graduates' employment, The College of Engineering held Employment Promotion Conference for Graduatesin Class of 2020 on the morning of May 15th, 2020. The college leadership team, department heads, graduation class teachers, graduate tutors and all counselors attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Lin Weibo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college.


At the meeting, Mr. Lin introduced the current employment situation of the college and the special situation of graduates in class 2020 under the influence of NCP, as well as the response measures taken by the college. He made specific arrangements for the graduates' employment assistance.

Subsequently, Ms. Mei Huilan and Mr. Liu Tianhu, the headteachers of the undergraduates in class of 2020, shared their employment work experience. Ms. Mei expressed that teachers should provide targeted employment information and guidance for students. Mr. Liu put forward the concept of whole process. He encouraged students to study hard from the beginning of the university, actively participate in various academic competitions and scientific and technological innovation activities, and guide students to complete the graduation design ahead of time, so as to lead the class to take the initiative in employment.


Finally, Ms Shi Nake, secretary of the Party Committee of the college, made a concluding speech. She pointed out that employment was a major issue related to the future development of students and the college. Based on the current situation of epidemic prevention and control, she put forward specific requirements for employment work and emphasized that employment work had primacy . The faculty of the college should understand the epidemic prevention and control situation, make the best preparations, strive for the best result and complete the work of graduates’ Employment.

It was reported that since the outbreak of NCP, the college rose up to the challenge and responded to it bravely. The college provided graduates with diverse employment resource platforms and personalized employment guidance services.
